Through our Florida-licensed Nurse Registry, Guiding Light Home Care may refer qualified independent Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses for requested nursing services. Depending on the client’s needs, applicable healthcare instructions or orders and the lawful scope of the referred nurse, services may include:

Through the Nurse Registry, qualified independent Certified Nursing Assistants and Home Health Aides may be referred to assist with permitted personal-care activities and activities of daily living. Depending on the client’s needs and the qualifications of the referred professional, support may include:

  • Bathing assistance

  • Dressing

  • Grooming

  • Personal hygiene

  • Toileting assistance

  • Eating and feeding assistance

Homemaker Services provide non-medical assistance with routine household activities to help maintain a clean, organized and comfortable home environment. Services may include:

*Homemaker Services do not include nursing services, medication administration or hands-on personal care. Florida’s Homemaker and Companion registration does not authorize hands-on personal care or nursing.*

  • Grocery shopping

  • Routine errands

  • Organizing household items

  • Taking out household trash

  • Other routine household activities

Companion Services support social connection, engagement, routine and participation in everyday life. Services may include:

  • Accompaniment on errands or outings

  • Meal-time companionship

  • General safety awareness and observation

Special Needs Support

Guiding Light Home Care may coordinate compassionate in-home support for individuals who benefit from a safe, stable and structured daily environment. Depending on the person’s needs and the provider model involved, support may include:

The exact services available during respite depend on the individual’s needs and whether the arrangement involves a referred Nurse Registry professional or non-medical companion support.
